Hi everyone my names Madison and I'm new to the forum and to smoking! I work at a catering business and we sometimes use a master built electric smoker and I love the results so I wanted to try a build of my own; the $30 kettle grill is about to no more! My dad owns a welding and fab shop and has literally everything to make the job easier. This is our project together, I design and and he welds lol. This will be an all stainless cooker to the hinges, legs, grates, handles, ext! Anyway to the specs and where I'm at so far!

CC is a tank I found at the shop; its 24x15
FB is a piece of scrap I found at scrap yard along with other goodies. It measures 16x13 square. Used the plasma to cut reliefs and bent to minimize welding.

Door on chamber is almost cut all the way out, just waiting on the 4" bullet hinges. Firebox has 4 sides on it and chimney has been made using a piece of 3 inch pipe cut at a 45.

I'm really not sure how I want to do the firebox door, I want it "fancy" as I call it haha. Any ideas? I have a handle I want to use as the latch, I'll get a pic. Hopefully going to work on this a day or 2 a week as the shop is 30 min from my house.

Looks like a good start. Are u going to open it from the top or side? I choose the side. I did some nice 1" solid stainless hinges on my smoker. What is the fire box made of?
