Greetings all.
I'm a bit outside of Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
Have "smoked" some things before on a propane grill using smoker boxes. Not the best setup I know. I have a propane grill that is well loved and well used. I have never cooked on charcoal (sad face) but do regularly grill on wood at a brick fire pit at a family cottage.
Finally broke down and bought an actual smoker.
I've ordered a dyna-glo offset vertical charcoal smoker believing it to be ok quality and a great entry level price. The hope being if I get a couple of years out of it and I get hooked, I can invest in something bigger and better. If I don't find myself using it too often, then I don't feel like I wasted too much $$$.
Anyways, just wanted to do the introduction and see if anyone has any suggestions (or links to the appropriate threads) for setting up, getting started, and all that good stuff.
Looks like a great community here and I can't wait to start getting involved and learning.

Welcome to the board! Yes this is the place to learn. Use the Search to look up your smoker and see how people use them.
