Hi everyone. I just received a medical warming cabinet that I plan to turn into a vertical smoker. It is extremely sturdy, well insulated, and clad in medical grade stainless steel, so most of the work is done. I’m wondering if anyone might have any suggestions or advice for what I could use to introduce smoke into the cabinet. I was thinking of attaching a pellet auger similar to what is used for a Louisiana Grill or Traeger. I’d ideally like to run a digital version with a temp probe into the chamber so I can ensure a consistent temperature. Does anyone know of a smoke generator/pellet auger type of product on the market that could serve this purpose? Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks and have a fantastic day everybody!

What temps will the warming cabinet operate? An easy way to introduce smoke is with an A-MAZE-N tray or AMNTS pellet tube.

I'll mostly be using it to make sausage, but it would be awesome to be able to regulate the temp low enough to do some cold smoking or high enough to do a turkey as well.

Thanks for the suggestion! I'll be sure to check those out.

If you want a pellet smoker for bbq temperature then the Pellet Pro is your best shot for the burner and controls.

Thank you very much! I’ll check them out. Do you know the temperature range in them by any chance?
Full on pellet grill temps, so 500 plus but look them up and ask them the technical questions.
