Well while I wait for my mini smoker for the apt I made the best of it with some quality time on the water
Gotto love the sunrising on the water,


After catching a bunch all morning I took a break with the frosty beverage of choice and a nice smoke of a different sort.


I didn't find the red for the smoker today but I caught and released over 50 of these.

Oh btw. Black beans were left in the crock while I was gone. Came home and added some veg to it, seasoning and soon its time to eat. Gotto love cooking like that

Vlap...Reds are biting big time in the three bays off Panama City. C'mon up here. Parade of Lights is Saturday night in the main bay. It's supposed to hit 80 here tomorrow...errr...later today. The brand-new USS Mesa Verde is here at the base too. Came up for commissioning next weekend from the Mississippi shipyard. Open to the public this weekend.

Steve, One of these day I may take you up on that. I know a bunch of people in your area. I have been wanting to be up there for the big bulls running.

Gypsyseagod, Those guys were a blast on light action rods but yes I have thrown larger fish for bait as well. Goliath Grouper are fun in shallow water.

In a few hours I will be heading out again for more fishing. Reds, Trout and Snook are on the list of targets.

If you look carefully in the sunrise pict you may see the roof of my apt. That gives you an idea how far I have to travel to find good fishing. I love this area.
