Another hot smoked chicken, think I'll start doing 1 or 2 of these a month.

Just garlic salt inside and out and a bit of red oak. This was a 5lb 4oz bird. Indirect at 275°f for about 150 minutes.

Our garden has started to really produce and to go with the chicken we harvested potatoes, carrots, and zucchini. Carrots and potatoes tossed in olive oil, salt and pepper and roasted. Zucchini was dressed the same but grilled.

buzzed up some sugar free margaritas to wash it down with, it was 96°f yesterday!

I really like them made with limeade frozen concentrate but so much sugar. Took time but I got this one down pretty good. 6 limeade powder packets sweetened with stevia, 5 or 6 cups of ice, 1 cup vodka, 2 shots each of triple sec and blue Curaçao.

I think summer is here!

LOL I believe it was 1 part top soil, 1 part peat moss, and 1 part dyno dirt ( composted bio solids from our city water treatment plant ) you could used composted cow manure but last year we used blak cow and it had residual herbicides in it causing us to lose our crop.

Looks good
I'm jealous. Still planting my garden. It was memorial Day before spring arrived and it skipped to summer temps for a week.

Cow manure is a crap shoot. If they're grazed on pasture sprayed with Milestone pesticide it has a very long residual.
Dyno dirt can be iffy, too.

Texas has a great growing season but we start everything inside from seed and put it out early. Lots of covering with plastic and prayers to start the growing season.

I've thought about the nature of dyno dirt, it's certified and I can view an analysis report from our city. We've used it for gardening and even a miracle lawn dressing but, yeah..... I gotta say though, the plants love it.

Thanks for the comment and good luck with the garden, hope it's a boon for you.

One of the main reasons I strictly use homemade yard and kitchen waste compost, along with trench composting fish carcasses. I've built the soil up so much I never need to add any fertilizer.
