Evening all! Been a while since I posted on here, hope you all had a good Christmas/new year!

Just thought I’d show my new modified Weber 22, which I got in the Xmas sales!

Dropped it into my old cheap trolley (which I’d already modified by making a nicer butchers block and shelves). There was nothing wrong with the old kettle; it just wasn’t Weber quality (Aldi supermarket brand)

I managed to get a scrap handle off an old fire pit, sand it down and paint black, and got some NOS Weber handles, the reason for this was to add a handle to the front of the lid as I’ve fitted the hinge system to the back of the lid

Here’s the scrap handle

And the hinge

Also got the only fire ceramic insert to make this retain the heat a bit better!

Going to do some beef rib this weekend

Thanks all!

Thanks all! It’s freezing here in the UK at the mo (and pitch black by 4pm) but I may try and cook something on Sunday under the gazebo!

Really nice work on that . That insert is interesting . I'll be watching for a cook .
I've made a few of the old school wood handles . Just made the newer style for my Master touch .

It looks like the one from the Unknown BBQ site:
St. Louis BBQ . Not to far from me .
