A rack of ribs, a ribeye, and chicken breasts … all dressed up and no place to go
Sigh … 😔

Happened once before, couldn’t free up and CS had to send me a new airbox and auger. I hope I can just free it up this time, but not having a lot of luck so far.
Last time lots of rain and uncovered. Not this time. Been covered and only two cooks since the rebuild a few weeks ago.
I think maybe the pellets.

As covenant as pellet grills can be. They sometimes can be a headache!
Checked mine a 7:00 yesterday mornin. Why is the smoke coming out of the pellet box and not the stack. Fire pot so full it couldn't. It had been running for 13 hours though. Luckily my fire pot can be pulled and dumped. Pulled plug dumped it and fired it back up.

Nothing like a relaxing cook to get the blood pressure through the roof. I've had 2 Jams in my pitboss, I had to take it apart use a pipe wrench to work the auger free, put some sand paper to it to clean it up.

Looks like you live in a pretty humid climate.
You probably know this, but you should store pellets is a dry place.
Removing pellets from hopper after a cook and storing them in dry place, is a good idea as well.
Pellets can swell with humidity and cause issues.

That sucks . Never had an auger jam in the Smokefire . Drop auger style , and it runs the auger in reverse to empty out the auger at shutdown .
Had the fire pot overfill 3 times , and smoke out the hopper once . Can be pretty dangerous , and cause a heck of a fire .
They all do it .

They need to make something to unjam augers, like those hex wrenches for garbage disposals.

I use to leave pellets in my auger all the time. Every once in a while that wet stuff would fall from above and swell up the pellets in the auger. By the time I got rid of the smoker I could dismantle, clean and have it running again in under 10 minutes.

That would be nice.
A hex nut on the end of the shaft, so I could put on a socket and a breaker bar.
It won’t budge with just vice grips.

Yeah, wish this had a pellet dump. Can shopvac hopper and run auger to force rest into the firepot and vac.
