So these were supposed to be dinner on Sunday it swmbo didn't tell me she had plans. By the way it was brisket in the crockpot,I'll leave it at that.
So here's the steaks there going in the WSM for now and we will see where they end up finishing.

Yes, we grilled a pair of them last night, but, on gas grill though,I posted em upon the irma thread ,, everything is always better on coals or wood .. nice job .. all we did this evening was burgers, and started a little cleanup around the house some branches and putting some stuff back around front and back yard

Looks like perfect steaks to me.

B-one nice looking steaks. I've used my vortex for many cooks, but never on the WSM always on the kettle.

Thanks Richie, why haven't you had steak lately? I need it at least once a month.

Thanks gmc2003, I'll admit it didn't work super on the WSM,but I didn't dump the ashes either. I shouldn't have been lazy and scooped the coals into the kettle.

Those turned out great! They look mighty tasty. Just a tad too rare for me--I know I'm a minority but we prefer medium. Wouldn't stop me from chowing down on one if those beauties though.

Gary

Thanks Gary, to be honest I prefer a thicker steak like these to be more towards medium as well but it was late and we wanted to eat!
