A week or so ago we grabbed some gren tomatoes from an old farmer selling produce in the town square. Fried them up and couldn't believe how great they were. So tonight, I mentioned your sammich over dinner. Miss Amy's reaction? Let's just say that they are probably on the menu this week sometime. :yahoo:
Hey Gary. That looks great. I never thought of adding fried green tomatoes and I love fried green tomatos. I'm lucky with them--my neighbor always plants way more tomatos than she can use, so every fall I get a few bags of the green ones that she doesn't want. Some I keep to fry up, an the rest I use to make green tomato and smoked jalapeno pickles.
