1/4" is fine for the FB. I wouldnt go any lighter. The CC can be lighter tho.

Nice build man! I like how u run the exuast wide open or is there a damper inside? What temp were u cooking at?
 
Thanks Flippers, I have flat metal but no way to roll it so I thought I would just build a straight back and front cooker, do you think that will work for the RF cooker ? How do you send a PM message on here ? Thanks, emmons4me
 
At a metal yard that deals with big metal. There's a place here in Portland Or that I've seen pipe from 2 feet to about 4. And they cut to size. 60 cents to 1$ per pound is a good deal
