Looks just like the game winner I just returned and replaced with a lem mighty bite. I stripped the gears trying to make 17mm snack sticks. It worked fine until then.

And I’m not saying it wasn’t operator related. I really don’t think it was made to stuff snack sticks. It worked fine until I made 10lbs of these bad boys...

you stripped the metal gears in the Mighty Bite ?? or that's the new one you got in place of one with plastic gears that you stripped ??

The mighty bite was my replacement stuffer. I stripped the gears on the game winner. But the game winner was metal gears as well. It just seemed cheaply made. There were a ton of metal shavings after that 10lb batch of sticks. It wasn’t totally stripped, but every 3/4 turn it would completely skip.

Again, I’m not saying it wasn’t my fault, I don’t think I should’ve used such a small tube. And before anyone asks, I constantly added water to adjust the viscosity of the meat, and that helped. But it was still very challenging.

Dave.. that's the one (the grizzly) I had (Actually Boykjo gave it to me in need of new gears) ... I replaced the new gears (along with a spare set) and and have been using it for a good 6 years... finally stripped the gear out again.. only this time the brass threaded insert stripped.. not the plastic teeth ... But I also flipped the big gear upside down so that it would be a left handed stuffer (meaning the crank turned opposite direction to stuff) ... So I put new gear in and finished my batch of sticks then I went and found the mighty bite at Home Depot for $119... it's in my closet now with other equipment waiting to be broke in...

PS.. gave the old stuffer to my granddaughter) ...

Happened to a friend of mine as well.

I have the mighty bite LEM as well, haven't used it yet.

It replaced my Gander Mountain model with plastic gears.

Yes sir I did in fact strip the gears. And that lem link you posted isn’t the same one I bought. May not make a difference but this is the one I ordered...

Well, Dave asked if you stripped the gears.
I posted the link to the LEM frame that is identical to the Northern Tool stuffer, which is the subject of Dave's post.

OK 73 Saint, Apples to Apples, the Northern Tool, and the original LEM stuffers are the same frames. I've been studying these stuffers for a bit now. Many, Many outfits are offering the same stuffers with a different sticker on them. :emoji_thinking:
The link you posted is the new LEM stuffer line.

I was biting my tongue, because I did not want to bring up the Glass Hammer and the Anvil.
But unless someone can show at least a modicum of restraint, anything can be broken.
That is not the products fault automatically. If you continue to force something, frames bend, gears strip, and chit happens.
And you as much as admit to being the cause....

I worked with a guy who never figured out he was the reason bolts broke. He just never figured out when to stop pullin on the ratchet.

I'll be watchin to see how many years the new LEM lasts you. Because I know Aluminum isn't as tough as steel.

Dave, Please pass the Popcorn...
