I think Lowes had it for something like $7.94 or $8.94 for the twin pack of 20# bags last year.Yeah, I agree with Bruno. Don't go to crazy because Memorial Day, 4th of July and Labor day, the price will drop to something like 5.99 for a double bag.
Lump is real wood, no chemicals or additives and you are correct, it does burn hotter, as far as faster, I haven't burned enough of it to answer that one. I like the charcoal taste that briquettes give off to an extent, but at times it can be overbearing, with lump, you won't get that since it's real wood.Sorry to go off topic but I am in the process of modding a brinkmann ecb. What is the differance in the kingsford and lump charcoal.
