Was originally cooking 3 butts for an event tomorrow and then some friends asked if they could throw another one into the mix. I said sure!
So I just made a double batch of my rub.
Will be getting the butts rubbed up and onto the smoker a little later once the kids are in bed.

Finally got the butts on. Kinda tight in there but it works. Fireboard is a great thermometer if you haven’t heard. Works wonderfully and they have great customer service.
Butts are wrapped in foil and I’m going back to sleep for a few hours.
Due to positioning on the grill, one butt is at 184 and the one farthest away from heat is at 153.
Since wrapping in foil at 5:45am, here is where the butts stand.
I am leaving at 10am for an overnight event so they need to go ahead and get finished. Pretty sure we will get there.
Well, I got the butts off and the group ate and I was busy and didn’t get any pics. I apologize.
I know it’s not cool but I can say that they ate two of 3 butts and loved it. And there’s some leftovers.
