I'm interested in one of these smokers, but would need to leave it outside, and want to chain/lock it to a chainlink fence. However, from the pictures, doesn't look like there's really anywhere I could run a chain/cable. Can anyone that has one of these units/has seen them in person comment on how I might be able to lock it up?

Now you're just babbling.
Both of those pictures are of the newer model interior. Seeing the inside has nothing to do with whether it's Bluetooth or RF.
It could be the bottom of a Gen #2.5, which would be Bluetooth, and it could be the bottom of a Hybrid with the Gen #1 exterior which would be RF & with the 2.5 interior.
Why are you still worried about this. I've explained it to you on 3 Threads.
There are NO Gen #1 Bluetooth units.

I go through this one more time:
There are the following:
Gen #1---RF
Gen #2---RF
Gen #2.5---Bluetooth
Hybrid Unit---Gen #1 exterior with the Interior of a 2.5---RF
And there may be other Hybrids, but so far none of

Just meant to point out one is larger and has more room next to the heat shield to put an AMNPS on the floor. The other does not..

The other smoker you can not do this.

You never stop. It doesn't matter if they're slightly different.
There isn't room to the left for an AMNPS in either one of them to be a good place for a AMNPS, because there's no air flow in that bottom left corner.

There's plenty of room in that left corner of my MES 40 Gen #2.5, but I would never put it there, because of a lack of air flow. Whether it's one of those MES 30 units in your pictures or an MES 40 Gen #2.5 like mine, the best place is on the right end of the bottom rack, because that's where you can get good air flow above the Chip Dumper Hole!!!!!!!

I'm done with this.

Whatever.. Just read the thread and it clearly says that is where Todd intended it to go..

I'm trying to bring up helpful info I see and just bringing it to light.

You just talk to talk. You confuse everybody.
Bringing wrong confusing info to light helps nobody.
Yes Todd designed it to fit there "on the support bars of a Generation #1."
At that time there was no Gen #2 or Gen #2.5.

I'm sure you could drill holes somewhere & chain it.
However it should not be left out in the weather without a real good waterproof cover anyway.

You seem pretty knowledgeable on these specific smokers, any thoughts on my post above, regarding chaining these things up?
there are models that have nice steel legs welded on them. If you had a model with legs on you could drill holes through the 2 rear legs and run a regular nylon coated bicycle lock cable through the holes and through a fence or around a pole or something.

Also the smokers have handles you can run cables through and around to lock them to something.
