I have 3 Maverick ET-732 replacement meat probes one is new the other 2 were used for about 1 hour and I cut the plug off the 2 used ones.

I purchased these 2 weeks ago for my smokers data logging system but these probes are thermistors based and not thermocouple based which i needed for my system.

I will re-splice the cut probes back onto the plug before shipping

$30 shipped conus

I have not idea
Maybe someone else will chime and have an answer

No they should be good to go after splicing. Try to solder them then make sure you insulate the wires. Electrical tape or heat shrink. Believe it or not thermocouple type are the ones that would be more affected by spliced. Any quality digital thermo has a method to calibrate the sensor to the readout.

Solder?

I thought that was a lost art and just for us old farts?
