Been sick with cv19 for a few weeks and haven't cooked any thing outside of the kitchen. Feeling a little better each day and finished with quarantine for the moment I reckon, found a very large steak and at $14. I couldn't not take it home. Throwed on the Austin at smoke setting P6 for 2.5 hours, bad pictures as they were after thoughts lol. about 135-137 in the center, probably 1 of the best tasting steaks I have ever made . SuckleBusters 1836 all the way around

I just got out of Fareway in waterloo and i saw one of their adds on the register showing Tbone for 6.99lb...since i already maxed out my meat budget these last couple weeks, i just had to leave sad. So check it out and see if its still on if anyone in Iowa is interested.

Heck yeah bud that's a Whopper of a steak. I did tomahawks a week or so ago and thought mine were big at 3.26lb. you got a much better price than I did. Might give that rub a go. Glad you are on the mend!

There will always be deals to be found on a slab of meat, the important thing is that you are on the mend and feeling better day by day. Nice work Mike! RAY

Glad you are on the mend and beating this crazy Covid. That Ribeye is awesome! Cooked perfectly too.
Stay safe and continue on the road to good health.

Damn Mike, when you're feeling better and decide to start cooking, you don't mess around, that's for sure. Great looking roast you have there :emoji_wink: Sometimes you just have to ask yourself: at what point does it go from a steak to being a roast? JK of course. Heaven knows I've done a couple tomahawks well in excess of 3# but I still shake my head and ask myself if it's really a steak when you can feed 4 people with it :emoji_laughing:

Congrats on beating the nasty COVID. Thrilled to hear you're feeling better and are up to tackling that monster chunk of meat.

Robert
