To be a Vikings fan is a true test for mental stability and possibly marital stability (taught my wife to become a football and Vikings fan before we got married).
I didn't think they would be very good this year but I don't think anyone could write a script for how bad they have imploded. Pretty epic even for the Vikings

That may not necessarily be true.Pats are 3-0 in the east as of now with Bills next but then the Jets and Miami again.Denver is 2-1 in the west and still have KC and LA to deal with after the Raiders.Going to be a very interesting few weeks coming up!

Incorrect.

I don't know why anyone thought JJ McCarthy was a 1st round pick let alone a franchise QB. 🤦🏼‍♀️

Whoever made the decision to draft him should be fired because that was an epic fail.

The kid never faced any adversity at Michigan. He had a solid OL, solid run game and a stout defense. He never came from behind and never had to run for his life. He was just a game manager.

Right now the Pats hold the #1 seed. If it comes down to identical records then the Raiders game gives Denver the edge but that's putting the cart before the horse which is never something I would do but with that logic put aside you got Nix and we got Maye and one of those two is much better than the other, but I would never rely on that on any given Sunday!

The Vike's GM has not had a very good record at building anything, I like KOC but this year is showing that he is not a young QB whisper and has shown that more experienced QB's can do well with his offense. Not sure how reliable some of the sources are but watched some ESPN clip that had Bruce Ariens on it and sure sounds like McCarthy is a middle school head case besides looking like a middle school student. Maybe wouldn't be so bad if it wasn't for all the McCarthy hype coming from training camp, obviously there were some untruths.
I do believe that Shawn Payton dupped the Vikings into taking McCarthy over Nix. To that I say "well played sir, well played"

Patriots beat the Giants. That article was written before the MNF game. They are currently the #1 seed.
I'm aware of that but they haven't had their bye week yet, which they have this week. They've played 13 games, we've played 12 and we already had our bye week.

Our records will equalize and we will have two tie breakers with a win over the Raiders on Sunday.

I'd say it's a given with any team... think you have a win in the bag and suddenly... upset!

I’m a born again believer in the Broncos. But I’m seeing a close resemblance to Bo Nix and the very early years of Elway. It was always a nail biter but more exciting then because of Elway come backs. The wins this year are pretty ugly so far, incredible defense on most days but the offense sputters all the time. I believe Nix will be good maybe even great over time but the growing stage is painful.

On another note, everyone better watch out for this Patriot team. That Mayes is same class (I think) as Nix but they are in gell on offense and put up a reasonable defense. As a whole the Pats play better than Denver as of now, but once we go into the playoffs it’s all sudden death elimination so anything can happen. In the end I’m just happy we likely won’t see Mahomes there.

From Google Search:
The top quarterbacks from the 2024 NFL draft class were Caleb Williams (USC), who went first overall to the Chicago Bears, followed by Jayden Daniels (LSU) to the Washington Commanders and Drake Maye (North Carolina) to the New England Patriots. Other notable quarterbacks in the class included Michael Penix Jr. (Washington), J.J. McCarthy (Michigan), and Bo Nix (Oregon), all of whom were selected in the first round.

At least most of the other quarterbacks have got a chance to get their rookie growing pains worked out or working them out. JJ can't hardly stay healthy and obviously the game is way to fast for him most of the time when he does play, at least in his current offensive schemes. Then again it seems that Minnesota is almost always doomed with the QB position and when they do have someone good their run game sucks or the O Line is garbage and the good QB gets destroyed.
