Some really good games on today! Bama just survived a scare by South Carolina.

Vanderbilt just knocked off Mizzou.

My Jayhawks suffered a beating by K-State. 😩

Yep, good games yesterday except the second half of A&M vs LSU. I'm an LSU fan so it really sucked for me. Good news is LSU has a by week next weekend and I'll be off hunting when they play Alabama the following week. I really need a break from watching them.

I know its not FBS but in the FCS landscape there have been some pretty decent developments. NDSU snapped SDSU's 33 game home winning streak and took the Dakota Marker in a boot stomping Saturday night. NDSU is on a mission again this year and if they keep their attitude and focus they are going to be tough to beat

My Gators are BAD again this year but hopefully they can hire a good coach and and he can turn the program around. They haven't had a good coach in a long time.
That being said college football in general is about ruined. NIL has about ruined it I agreed that the players should get paid but I would have preferred that every player got the same amount. Doesn't matter if they ride the bench or are the star player they should all get the same that would stop all this transfer BS. Heck in pro ball they can be a free agent but then they have to sign a contract and can't change teams every year depending upon who will pay the most.

I don't think NIL is the problem so much as the transfer portal is.

They need to setup some guidelines.

The week before the season kickoff to the week after the National Championship game the portal is closed.

You can only transfer twice while in college. Beck to back transfers aren't allowed in the same season.

That was complete domination right there 👍

Anything they try to do will just get challenged in court and the NCAA will lose.

The only way the NCAA will regain control of CFB, is getting Congress to grant them an anti-trust exemption. This would protect them from law suits. I'm not optimistic that will ever happen.

Every professional league has some kind of anti-trust exemption. Some are more involved in others, but its almost impossible to operate a sports league without a set of rules. And rules that promote parity, like salary caps, are violating anti-trust law.

I was completely against NIL and still think the $$$ are unsustainable but it has brought a lot more parity to the game. Teams like Indiana can now compete. The Top programs used to get all of the best players and now its a little more diluted.
