I wanted to smoke something new tonight. This is a 2.5 lbs tri tip from local grocery store. Smoked at 235 until IT was 130. Seared inside on super hot skillet until IT was between 135-140. Couldn't have been happier! So much Juice!

Looks great! I have really been enjoying tri tips lately. Definitely a great beef option if you are short on time.
 
Would love to hear what kind of marinade/rub you used. I made my first one tonight and was just WAY too salty, but otherwise perfect.
