One question I have is once I get the surface rust off the smoker, how do I go about painting it black and what paint to use?
 
I use high heat flat black form the part store.

I love that truck! Those are my favorite!

is black the color you really want?..lol
IMO if i was to build an chevy into a smoker, i would use something like burnt orange or something similar - engine enamel - high heat paint - higher price but more colors to choose from....

but thats just me...lol
