if you carefully remove the corner pieces and the plastic trim there are Brad nails behind it to pull out in the inner panel comes off

Any way you can take a picture to describe that process?

I'm not sure what you are referring to as the corner pieces?

Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures of the door disassembled but the recessed part of my door has metal pieces screwed to the frame and the wood is.covered with a bakeolite strip. I can get a picture when I get home and send it to you.

Thanks,

Appreciate that!

I'm going to have a closer look at mine when I get home as well.

Don't need them! But thank you!
You were absolutely right!

Four metal clips in the corners and the Bakelite sides popped right off!

Glad I did it! Now every piece of that crap insulation is out!

Don't know if you have decided on Romulus yet but....
It sure is nice to work with! The 2x4 panels drop right into the door frame, easy to handle. It's a sinner all around.

I'll post pictures on the other site.

Sounds good I went with the roxul insulation and it worked out good. I need to get my smoke generator mounted and everything wired up tomorrow. Brought it up to temp earlier and everything looked good.

Everything is wired up and installed I ran it for about 4 hours last night and I've had a pork roast in it for about 5 hours today. Other than some smoke leakage everything seems great.
