These recipes are published in "Compendium ferculorum" by Stanisław Czerniecki.
This book is history's first Polish Cook Book, and made its debut 1682.

The audience for this was not the home cook. Rather, it was intended for chefs preparing royal banquets.

Fascinating look into baroque cuisine of central and eastern Europe.
You can view an original copy here, but my Old-Polish is a bit rusty.

Friend's son went to culinary school and they did a semester on sausage. He could barely keep it together and almost quit. Apparently, this semester is well known for it. He refuses to eat hot dogs to this day.

Can't say as I blame him--just shows good taste. I won't eat them either, since I saw them being made at a meat plant. :emoji_money_mouth:
