On a more cool point my company developed a full 3d model (inside and out) of the Statue of Liberty
“Drones can’t see sh!t at night” terrorists disagreeOne of the “experts” that addressed this specific issue, I think his name was Ferguson, said that drones can’t see sh!t at night and have to have equipment on board, not for mapping, but what he called “smelling the ground” for something specific. They fly autonomous with AI technology so they have a flight plan and a mission. They are gathering data, not mapping, mostly that is ruled out because mapping has already been done and not workable at night. These drones have equipment on board and a mission to find something.
I guess it’s the equipment or technology loaded on them Jake. If a drone flies at night it has these things on it or uploaded to it. So it has a mission specific, is I think the point.“Drones can’t see sh!t at night” terrorists disagree
But I do agree with the rest lol
I agree, all the data collection fights are ai driven, however LIDAR isn’t affected by darkness. One of the “experts” that addressed this specific issue, I think his name was Ferguson, said that drones can’t see sh!t at night and have to have equipment on board, not for mapping, but what he called “smelling the ground” for something specific. And that brings us back around to the reptile aliens!Read the article on the small amount of medical rauda rice material missing in NJ. Doesn't seem to me that would kick off such a "manhunt".
Agreed. I think the bigger point is that these are not domestic drones. Which the government currently says they could be, but clearly they are of a government origin. We need answers not innuendo.I agree, all the data collection fights are ai driven, however LIDAR isn’t affected by darkness.
IR/NV equipped drones can see just fine at night. Hobby ones can’t.
I think it’s a combination of the sniffing and mapping…..the mapping is looking for vehicles and changes in area.
PS we mapped the SofL in the dark. I have done presentations of mapping the conference room in the dark …..
Bingo……….Agreed. I think the bigger point is that these are not domestic drones. Which the government currently says they could be, but clearly they are of a government origin. We need answers not innuendo.
Are you saying you believe they originate from outside the US? I'm not sure i could understand that as I believe we would be shooting them down ?Agreed. No, not saying that at all. Just saying that with the capability these drones have they are most likely military assets. And I believe these are our assets. Are you saying you believe they originate from outside the US? I'm not sure i could understand that as I believe we would be shooting them down ?
Yeah and not in the kitchen floor thanks to the puppy!Gotta be on top of a cookie!

I actually have a friend who has gotten into this. He's able to fly over smaller tracts of land that planes get to and also does large landscapes for businesses...Even crop dusting is going that way.
I try not to get too deep into conspiracies however the sheer volume of sightings combined with almost insulting secrecy indicates something is going on. That something is likely not a good thing. I wonder if they have Intel on potential dirty bomb locations they are searching for.I just want to know what's really going on. With all the hubbub, there has to be some rhyme or reason to all of this. I don't do conspiracy theory, but do understand how compelling some of it can be. That said, I worked in "drones" for one of my shore tours. We called them all kinds of names... UAV etc etc. The command I was at was a niche community that did surface and air target and threat simulation. Yes I was a world famous VC-6 Firebee! Anyway, our "drones" were BQM-74E's and were used to provide targets for ships and aircraft to fire guns and missiles etc at. We did zero flights over land, but occasionally the public would see the launch, but more than likely the recovery if it occurred at all. You fished them out of the drink with a boat or helo and they brought them back to the base or wherever you were...so people saw this 12' long orange thing dangling from under a H-60 or H-46. Late 2004 I think September, I took a det to Pensacola to take part in a nation wide threat simulation. It had a silly name I can't recall, but there were 4 maybe 5 simultaneous threats across the country and our portion was attacking Eglin AFB with our drones acting as inbound missiles that we launched from a small ship somewhere in the Gulf of Mexico while one of the bridges or tunnels was "attacked" in NYC, and I don't recall the rest. Anyway, the military is constantly doing stuff like this, but with a lot more transparency. Anyway, that's my unsolicited $0.02 on drones.
Yes sir! Grew up in Tupelo. Hail State for life!TNJAKE are you a Miss State fan? I was working in Mississippi in 2007/2008 and got the opportunity to meet and work with Big Country. Met him and his dad. Russel is a solid guy for sure. I hear he's still appreciated on that campus.
