¼ or ⅜ rolled steel?

I'm looking at 2 companies to make me a trailer. I get more surfaces for smoking with ¼ on my budget. Will I like ⅜ that much better to lose that footage for meats?

You will be happy with 1/4 "  my smoker and all the smokers we have built except for one have been 1/4 "   Pretty much all the smoker builders around here use 1/4 "
