Doing another pork butt for a family gathering this Saturday. Last one was fantastic, 13 hours on the smoker. I was thinking of injecting this one with Woodchuck Hard Cider. I can't find regular cider and wanted to try something. Any thoughts?
Just gave it another mop. Looks good. I figured I would check the temp around 8 hours. Any thoughts on changing a mop recipe halfway through? I was pondering the concept, but it almost seemed detrimental to the end product. I would hate to ruin the butt!
I figured on at least 13 hours+. I'll be sure to share the details. I'm having a blast, all though I think I'm driving my wife crazy. The pork is wrapped and waiting on the AM. Looks like an early morning.
