Stater Bros had a great sale on a pre-packaged tri tip. I typically go with a fresh cut that I marinade and season myself, but this brand has been great in the past and seeing through the package it had barely any fat like other packaged cuts.
Used my dads Char-Broil electric smoker for the...
Real quick, I hope this is a good spot for the topic. I also tried searching for related topics but only found a few threads showing off a healthier meal or two made on the grill.
Ultimately though I know bbq obviously isn't #1 on the healthy diet list lol, but we all know with reduced amounts...
I hope this is the right spot for something like this.
I am the "Grill Master" for my LA Chargers Booster Club, we tailgate every game and have several events throughout the year. I typically use my Weber and Barrel Charcoal grills for cooking, but the barrel is so heavy and not made for...
Can't pass up 4.99 per lb for Rib Eye steak :) Decided to try a new and simple marinade after I got my steak from the Stater Bros meat counter. It came out amazing! Every piece was so tender and juicy, and the marinade gave it a great taste. Just microwaved a few Hawaiian rolls and had those...
Usually use Santa Maria or Montreal steak seasoning on my tri tip's, but this time I decided to use the "KISS" method. (Keep It Simple Stupid) and went with the traditional combo of Olive Oil, Salt & Pepper. Used my large charcoal grill and a couple chunks of hickory wood.
Visited my local...
Just want to get this sub-forum more lively and entertaining.....I know we all keep tabs on all the meat sections. But let's make some laughs for eachother!!
Found this little ditty that inspired my thread to begin with lol
Owners Know First Hand You Need To Be Careful When Cooking Near Dogs lol
Don't work on Wednesdays, but since I didn't feel very well. I skipped my trip to the store for a few racks of ribs like I had planned.
However, I do always have those twin packs of chicken breasts in the freezer. Defrosted a pack in some water and let them sit in the fridge for a couple hours...
Hey guys,so I have my sister's wedding this weekend and she just barely found me a grill to use for the rehearsal dinner (apparently I cater now lol)

So I wasn't sure where to post this (sorry if it's wrong section)
But I was trying to see about making my own group on here, however I don't see any options among the Groups Section to do so.
Says you can start our own community, so I assume it's suppose to be available.
Just thought i'd ask :P
Forgot I was even part of a group on here lol.
But wanted to say hi to all my fellow So Cal residents :)
So wanted to share a great spot in Orange that I found for wood and even some Dry Rubs and grilling acessories.
It's called The WoodShed and they have a huge list of flavored woods, along...

Hey I tried to search on here and Google but found nothing. Got a couple bags of "Sonora Charcoal" from my local grocer on the clearance rack cuz the bags has tears in them. Usually stick to Kingsford Briquettes. but can't pass on 30 lbs for 6 bucks lol
QUESTION.....It's ok to cut pieces of...
Hola Muchachos!!!
So lately, I have noticed that my coals don't seem to stay hot enough for long enough.
Starting to think that since I only have openings on the top and one side of the grill, it's not allowing a sufficient amount of air to circulate through the coals.
Hoping that some of you...
Wasn't sure where to put this. I bought a full size barrel grill off craigslist. Needs some touch up work just to look pristine again. But my main focus is filling in the gaps that were left when they made the frame around the lid. Because as most barrels have, it's got a few ridges in the...
Hey guys, I tried searching for some threads on Kobe Tri Tips, but just keep coming up with Tri Tip.
Number One question.....are there any different approaches you take to smoking a Kobe Beef Tri Tip as oppose to your more inexpensive Tri Tips??
I've smoked a few of them, but took a trip to a...
I finally got around to picking up some wings and trying to smoke them, and I am so glad that I did :)
Bought a pack of wings, but I didn't want to cook the whole thing, so I cut them up and just left the Flat Wing Tip
Time: Estimated 1 hour, 15 minutes
Temperature: 250 degrees Fahrenheit...
What's Up Strangers?! Been away from this site for quite awhile.
Finally got around to buying a few racks of ribs from Costco.
Used Applewood Rub on a few racks, and Sweet & Smokey (with Chipotle/Cinnamon) Rub on the rest. All by McCormick (favorite season brand lol)
They sat in the fridge...
Posted a thread to show off my new barrel grill that I got off craigslist over in the "around the smoker" forum
I plan to restore it so it looks brand new again, but til then I'm going to cook a few meals and knock the rust off my charcoal grilling skills
Grilled some bbq chicken with Stubbs...
