My first attempt at smoked pork chops on my new smoker - couldn't get temp to stabilize but kept it between 250 & 265 for an hour and a half. Light pink smoke ring & very moist & tender. (not the best pics - sorry)

So better late than never - this is from 4th of July last year.
Made a slight upgrade to a 16" Horizon Classic and can't wait to use it.

Does anyone have any experience with this smoker that is at Academy Sports. Lucked up (I think) and found one on clearance for about $300 off and wanted to get some reviews before I plunked down $500.

I almost have my smoker figured out - got the temp dialed in, but chips kept catching fire. Will most likely be switching to chunks instead. All in all, for only my second attempt at smoking and first attempt at ribs (& smoked wild turkey breast - see my wild game thread) I'm pretty dad gum...
For my second smoking attempt ever, I decided to pull one of my wild turkey breasts out of the freezer. I marinated it in olive oil and a southwest style rub. Wish I had taken it off a little sooner (thermometer probe crapped out) but otherwise it came out great. I may try to brine the next one...
