Congrats on the new toy. I hardly use my stick burner since I got the yoder. I burn lumberjack apple and competition pellets with a tube. Keep a nice supply of 40 lb bags stacked in garage on some 2x4s to keep off ground so I have never ran out of them. Also have a five gallon bucket with screw...

I love split pea soup made with the ham bone and small pieces. Alas, dont have a bone and dont care for it so wouldnt go that route. I also like ham and beans. Diced some ham up this morning for a ham broccoli and cheese omelette with salsa on top.

    Christmas Ham

What better for dinner for four than a 21 lb SRF whole ham. This is the best ham I have ever had. I used to not care much for ham til I bought my first one several years ago. My parents used to get theirs from a small butcher near home that they made in house. Got my parents and nephews hooked...

Best Single Serve Coffee Maker, Expert Reviews

Since I am not old enough to drink coffee yet, I would recommend to spend the money on a new bbq gadget instead or a nice big prime ribeye or brisket.

Post pictures of your pets here

Adopted an anatolian shepherd over summer, about two years old, Marty. We lost our two labs to cancer over about a four month period. He needed a friend really bad since our deaf dog wont play with him and he is very high energy. We welcomed Izzy this week, a curly haired retriever mix and she...

Pirrones is pretty good pizza. Have eaten there several times. It is really close to my parents house in Florissant. For dessert you may as well hit Fritzs frozen custard since it is right there too.

Moving to St. Louis area. Info needed.

Havent lived there in over 30 years so not much help. I would say, have several good options on the IL side, Collinsville, Fairview Heights, Belleville, O'Fallon plus several small towns. On Mo side you are probably going to consider south county Arnold, Kirkwood, Fenton. Parents and sister are...

    Bathroom Update

My wife hates cleaning shower doors. Thus, when we remodeled our house including four full baths a cpl years ago, 3 of the 4 went to 4’x5’ walk in showers with no doors. They work well with only a few drops end up outside during showering. The fourth is a cast iron tub and shower with a curtain...

    Big beefy ribs

Look great. Do you like cooking them individually rather than in the slab? Get more rub flavor that way? Does it take less time? I have a four bone pack in the freezer waiting for the smoker.
