Appreciate the insight everyone! Think I’ll bite the bullet on shipping and go Rec Teq. With a small propane Webber for high heat grilling
I’m sure lots of questions to come after I get it lol
I really like RecTeq, looks like great pellet grill, and solid company. But it’s an extra $200 for shipping!
I’ll look into Z Grill and Camp Chef
I like Traeger, but feel like your paying for the name more than they grill
I guess I’ll have to look into RecTeq
I live in Hawaii so shipping is usually insane for me.
I’m pretty much limited to what I can’t get at Lowes/ Home Depot or Amazon
Hey Everyone!
Looking for recs on a new grill. (I’m sure this has been discussed to death here)
I feel like I’ve outgrown my current setup and want to move up to something new.
My current setup is a Webber Spirit 3 burner propane grill, and a Masterbuilt electric smoker.
It’s been good to me...
6 hours in the smoker @275 pulled looks great, wrapped in tin foil and a towel sitting in a cooler resting while we finish up the rest of the sides. Will post pics when it’s ready to slice!
Got some grilled veggies, homemade Mac & cheese, sweet potato casserole, mashed potatoes, corn bread...
Thanks everyone! Going to cut it in half and smoke it at 275. Really appreciate everyone’s input on this thread!! Thanks so much for the help
Now getting ready to cut it in half and get the brine going
I know everyone is getting their smokers ready for thanksgiving-
I smoked a turkey the last 2 thanksgivings using indirect heating on my propane Webber grill. They both came out great. First year was about 8lb last year was about 12lb.
this year my wife bought an 18lb turkey!
it’s a little...
Just did some smoked salmon last night!
One of the first few smokes on the new Masterbuilt Electric
Came out really good, me and my wife and my parents demolished it
I had 2.5lbs and did half on the smoker and half grilled on a cedar plank on the gas grill.
Everybody agreed the smoke salmon...
I smoked a tri tip last night, came out pretty good actually. Did reverse sear on the gas grill after I pulled it off the smoker. Was cooked really nice but I can definitely see the need for amazen tube. I decided to not use the tube and see how to smoker did on its own. Didn’t have quite enough...
Thanks for the warm welcome everyone! I’m in Maui, HI
I could only find the 30” in stock here at Lowe’s but definitely would have gotten the 40” if it was available.
From searching around the forum I’m going to pick up an A Maze N pellet tube for sure!
Do you just light it up with a torch and...
Hey Everyone!
Finally decided to join the forum. Over the last 2 years I have been getting into smoking. I have a 3 burner Weber gas grill that I’ve been using to smoke with. It’s all I had so I’ve been doing damage on it!
Did turkeys the last 2 thanksgiving, and also have successfully done a...
