Certainly a different way of life than I am used to..

Give it a watch with the subtitles. Although they don’t talk a whole lot about their process. He does say the wine will heal his hand faster, which he must have cut pretty good while butchering the bird.

Certainly a different way of life than I am used to..

These guys probably laugh at us when we make a big deal about our brisket feasts.

    Camp Chef Discount for Veteran's

This right here is important and I see so many people make this mistake.. Businesses often ask to take a photocopy of my ID and it’s always a process explaining this to them.

What is the lowest and slowest brisket cook known to man?

This wouldn’t help with avoiding the cooked fat, but it seems like a great way to get a really moist brisket.

    Old Country Experience

Welcome! Nice upgrade from the Akorn; I’ve read good things about the Brazos. You can make some top notch food on that thing.

    Fajitas on the Weber kettle

I’m happy with it. I do wish the air holes/grease drain/handles were maybe kidney shaped or something because food does frequently fall through. But for the price I really can’t be too picky about it.

    Fajitas on the Weber kettle

Since I don’t have a Blackstone all my outdoor flattop cooking is done on the Hunsaker griddle in my Weber kettle. Tonight was Fajitas. Started with some carne asada - Then cooked up some veggies with my marinade - Flour tortillas - And plated - Thanks for looking!

My head is spinning! UDS vs WSM

Not to make your decision any more difficult... I would toss the Weber Summit E6 Kamado into the choices. It would come in at $1 under budget!

    What model GMG is this?

You’re correct, that looks like one of the early model Daniel Boones. Can’t help you on the temp settings. You can put a ambient air thermometer in there and test each setting.

    Weber Kettle Upper Deck

It did come with the rear handle. I’m sure the hardware store should have a handle that’ll work if yours doesn’t have two. But a lot of people mount using L brackets under the lip of the lower bowl versus using the handles. Exactly how I felt.

    Weber Kettle Upper Deck

Its a standard stand alone 22” kettle. I wanted a performer for the table aspect but I picked this up used for $35 four years back. Took the legs off and made this table for it.

    Weber Kettle Upper Deck

Only been a year since I made the table but already time to restain it as you can see how it looked during last summer.. Thanks! It’s a Weber kettle.

    Weber Kettle Upper Deck

I didn’t already have the bun warmer or a vortex so this was a cheaper option. Also the upper deck gives you almost half a full grate of extra real estate.

    Weber Kettle Upper Deck

I’m with you on grilled Shishitos! After cooked sprinkle a little cotija cheese on top with a drizzle of lime garlic crema to top them off. Mmmmm mmm.

    Weber Kettle Upper Deck

When I grill on the kettle I usually cook up a side or two as well. Space runs out quickly on the 22” so it was between upgrading to the 26” or trying out the upper deck. So I tried the cheaper option first Tonight I did four 1/2 lb pesto turkey burgers with 2 lbs of mini bell peppers marinated...

    Not many ceramics it seems?

Insulated cabinet smokers are better than a kamado when it comes to a dedicated smoker. They hold way more food, are more or less as efficient, and as you mentioned you can easily add to the charcoal tray if needed. But that’s about all they can do. The kamado is kind of a do-it-all cooker...

    Not many ceramics it seems?

If I wouldn’t have found my kamado used online for such a great price I probably still wouldn’t have one. I was definitely turned off by the price of buying new. However I do really enjoy this cooker and don’t think I could part with it at this point. It’s unbelievably efficient with charcoal...

    Custom made knives

Carter Cutlery is run by a master smith by the name of Murray Cater. His shop is in Hillsboro Oregon and he makes some of the nicest knives I’ve ever seen. I would love to own one of his chefs knives someday. They are expensive but for something that should last you the rest of your life if...

Should I Buy a Pellet Grill?

The Weber kettle is a great solution. Specifically if you get the Weber performer which has the built-in gas ignition system. Weber kettles are known to sit outside without being covered and will still last 10 to 20 years, or more.. They are super cheap so you could spend your extra money on...
