All I know is 180 seems to be the perfect temp for me when it comes to smoke flavor on anything. I’ve done some ridiculously incredible jerky on my GMG at that temp.
Anyone have a good Sriracha Jerky recipe for the pellet grill they'd like to share?
The hotter, spicier and more flavorful the better.
Thanks in advance!
I came across this video on YouTube from Ubons BBQ and I can't stop drooling. Are there any recipes floating around to duplicate what they're doing here:
If you have Dick's near you they are doing curbside pickup. You have to order online and they'll email you when the order is ready, when you arrive you check in using the link they send you and they bring the item out and put it in your vehicle. I did this today and picked up a bag of LJ 100...
I didn't say he had any issue getting parts. What I was trying to insinuate was that the people answering the phone really weren't OK Joe employees but are an independent answering service. Why else would they be telling someone "I think that's what a pellet grill is suppose to do sir".
It is...
Dick's Sporting Goods is closed but is doing curbside pickup if you order online, I did it today and picked up some Lumberjack Pellets. I live in southern PA and from what I could tell most stores still have pellets in stock.
A buddy of mine bought an Oklahoma Joe's pellet grill a month ago and to make a long story short:
It didn't work properly right out of the box with temperature fluctuations of over 200 degrees so he called support and they sent him a replacement part which arrived 10 days later. He installed the...
So far I've used two brands of pellets and it seems as though my opinion is in line with what's being said here. I started with BBQrs Delight pellets and when I ran out I went with the cheaper Pit Boss pellets.
Am disappointed in Pit Boss and probably won't buy them again.
I'm still new to pellet grills and have a Green Mountain Daniel Boone that I've been "social distancing" with a lot lately and one thing I've noticed is one brand of pellets I've used seem to burn up faster than the other. So my question to those of you that have been doing this for a while...
I cross the Lackawaxen(sp?) at least once on my way to fly fish in the Catskills and almost always wonder why I'm not fishing it. There's some really awesome looking water in that river.
Awesome cabin!! I've lived in PA all my life, have a cabin of my own in Sullivan county and used to dream of retiring there but lately I've grown weary of the gray sky that's plagued us for the last couple years and have been longing for the sun!
I'm most likely retiring in Dunedin, Fla
I saw PitBoss pellets for sale at Walmart for something like $8.88 and these would be the cheapest pellets I've seen to date.
Knowing that PitBoss is kind of a cheaper/less quality grill I was wondering if their pellets are the same.
Anyone use them and how do they compare to other pellets?
When doing burgers on a pellet grill what do you do to get more smoke flavor than what normally comes from cooking at "cooking temps" ?
Hope that makes sense.
