Offset chamber to firebox Bell to Bell joining

Wouldn’t that be difficult to shape around the bell of the tank if the template is stiff? I’m wanting to keep them both round.

Offset chamber to firebox Bell to Bell joining

Great minds must think alike. That was my plan! Just figured I’d throw the question out to see what people had done. Thanks!

Offset chamber to firebox Bell to Bell joining

So in the process of making a traditional offset out of a 120gal propane tank. I like the looks of the FatStacks 120 on their website. But before I start cutting away looking for insight. I want to join them together bell to bell (round to round) and not sure how to measure that to make them...

Gasket rope (can it get wet?)

In the middle of a Gravity Feed Build and I see some have the gasket to the fire box protected by a flashing/drip edge. But then the gasket on the door of the cabinet is left to see the elements. Does it hurt that fire rope if it gets wet? Just curious if you get caught in bad weather or...

Need Pictures of inside gravity feed fire box

So I’m curious to see where different companies or personal builds put their heat transfer tube going into the chamber from the charcoal chute and fire box. Some seem to have it above the ash grate at the level the charcoal is burning and the Myron mixon g series looks to have it right below...

    Bolt on Gravity Feed ?...

Wow that’s a cool idea to essentially make a French cleat with metal. This doesn’t have to be removable though. It’s just the fact that I’m adding it to an existing cabinet.

    Bolt on Gravity Feed ?...

Sounds about like I thought. I personally like the idea of using 8” diameter steel pipe instead of a square or trapezoid charcoal chute. I feel like it would reduce bridging of the charcoal. My plan is to build a frame out of 1” square tubing that will be skinned in 16ga to hold the 8”...

    Bolt on Gravity Feed ?...

Has anyone built a gravity feed shoot and fire box that can be bolted onto vertical smoker?.. I have a very large 2 door warmer converted into a pellet smoker. I’d like to make it a gravity fed charcoal smoker. I like the round chute idea like a Myron Mixon G series. Any calculations or...

    SS freezer build/lots of questions

If you are trying to make a cold smoker check out smoke daddy Inc.com for their cold smoker attachments. And since it’s low temp you won’t have to remove foam insulation. Just add a stack to the top. If you’re talking about anything over the 140-150 degree range I would remove all the foam...
