Grothe,
Ditto to you, I really appreciate the help. This one looks like it is worth playing with too.

Hey Folks, It' been a long long time since I've posted. I'm hoping one of you has a recipe that was listed as "Bourbon Brine", it used to be in the poultry section. It was on here before the server melt-down and I haven't been able to find it in the archives. I used it for my Christmas turkey in...
Welcome Bombsqd, that is some good look'n yard bird. Matter of fact, I'm planning on the same meal for Sunday! Don't hesitate to ask if you need help or are just looking for a recipe these folks are more than happy to lend a hand.

Hey Ben,
I just wanted to second what Scott in KC said. I spent most of this winter smoking in the wind and rain. I have a GOSM but I had to wrap it and face the back into the wind to keep the temps up. I used my heavy canvas elk bags just because they were handy.
Glad to hear you're enjoying...
Hey Gang, Thanks again for all of the friendly advice. I have to agree that flavor in wild and domestic critters is certainly influenced by what they're eating. I really see it in the different variety's of ducks we shoot and I like them all, they just have distinctly different flavors. The...
Hey Monty, thank you for the great advice. We're always up for a new eating adventure. Unfortunately, I think they figured out we were fatting em up for a reason and they quit coming back shortly after my post . But I have faith a new batch will be born this spring and we'll have our que yet.
Hey There Lady J,

Tex Mex Tortilla Soup
Whole Smoked Chicken (skinned and boned) or 4 Cooked Chicken breasts
4 cups water
2 (14 ½ oz.) cans chicken stock
2 (14 ½ oz.) cans beef...
Hi Folks, Thanks for the compliments! It sure is nice when it works out. Mrs. Ham (Jill) pulled all of the leftover chicken, made stock of the carcass and we just polished off the family favorite (Tex-Mex Chicken Tortilla Soup). :) That smoke flavored chicken takes it from good to fantastic...
That is some good look'n loins and roast....I wonder if they make in Icon with drool dripping out of the mouth. Hey, it's a good thing that deer didn't pop up another 6 inches or you would be pulling it out of the windshield, pretty scary. We live in big timber country and it's a constant...
Hey Dutch,
Thanks for the info. One of my boys just explained the fine art of picture reduction using paint shop, I think it's going to work. If not I'll be taking your advice and moving on over.

Thought I'd share a picture of yesterdays smoke out. There should have been a Fatty and 8 more ABT's in the picture. However, they didn't survive the initial attack from our 2 teenage boys (The Irish Twins). Fortunately, they both hit a couple of hot ABT's at the same time and as they were...
Thanks Mark,
The chicken turned out good but I can't figure out how to make the picture smaller. I've reduced it twice in photobucket but it's still to large.
Any suggestions.........
Hey Larry, Thanks for the info. Now I know what to do with the 2 little bandits I've been graining out on Friskies Ocean Buffet for the last 2 months  Any field dressing tips you have would be greatly appreciated.

Hey There folks, I'm with Lady J on this one. My only addition would be the Pampered Chef (Self Sharpening) Shears. You would be amazed at the things you can cut with those shears. I'm also a fan of Chicago Cutlery.

Hey folks, Thank you for the warm welcome. This is a great forum with some of the best attitudes I've seen on the net. I hope to be a contributor as well as a benefactor to the wealth of knowlege available from this group. Now if I can get this picture posting figured out, I hope to have some...
Just a quick hello from another new member/lurker. I choose the name in honor of our first BBQ'd Ham attempt  on Easter Day with all the family, some 18+ years ago. Oh, I failed to mention this was also the first year of wedded bliss with the love of my life. Since that fateful day we've...
