Is it just me or is it a thing that air fryer cooking , example like pork loin tastes very well because of the juiciness and succulent nature and the fact that moisture doesn't leave the meat easily?
This compared to grilling i mean.

I see... interesting !.....So for thin meats the initial SEAR might fully cook the meat it self , if you get the color you need and temp you need !
Do you all sear just steaks or also pork chops, chicken ( what meat though ,, breast?), fish etc ?
The steak was a disaster it was very well done and very tough this is how it happened because I was cooking chicken and steak the steak was an indirect flame in the charcoal grill when it read135 Fahrenheit I took it out and put it in a bowl
Then I heat it up this cast iron skillet very hot...
Sorry forgot to mention , I plan on only a small steak. BTW can I sear any meat ? Fish, chicken quarters?
My wife just reminded we have 2 old CI ... pls check pics. One is rusted , the other is ok . Dunno if that "LODGE" is a good brand. Can I restore the rusted one easily using vinegar / CLR...

What kind of skillet do I need, cast iron? Any good brand?

Already have a Weber spirit 3 burner gas grill and a Weber smoky mountain short vertical smoker...
Need to dispose of one of the 3 lol...question is :
Can I smoke meats using the Weber...
So , the idea is:
Throw steak on a very hot grill 500f or over...and check temp at various ends of meat after few min or...
Throw steak on a not so hot grill( 300f) and repeat the same?
And i want juicy tender steak (medium rare)... also noticed big pieces of steak have different tenderness...
Are these numbers only for beef steak or even pork chops?
Btw, your cajun mix came out great though i didn't have celery seeds or powder, mustard powder, chili powder....

Some people use lime juice, and also meat tenderizer powder.... do they do anything that a good mixed rub with lil vinegar doesn't overnight?

Last night grilled loin steak. Grill is Weber spirit 3 burner. Grill was at 400f.
Steak was tasty well done but wasn't juicy and tender. Removed it when internal meat was 165f ....

Anyone looking for a very hot yet flavorful sauce try Trinidad moruga pepper sauce, i add 1:5 to any bbq sauce it's heavenly. Even kids love it..... lasts long in fridge honestly no sane microbe will dare enter it
Thanks everyone I agree that Tony's cacheere was way too salty that's why I say I changed to slap Ya Mama... which is a good balance between heat and salt.
