Thank you I am just getting a ball park of how to plan. Then I'll figure for 12 hrs then a four hour cool down in the cooler. So that way if it takes longer I'll still have two hours for cool down to try and make my dinner time work. Any other ideas elsewhere?
Actually I found a scale and just weighed it so it went from 13.75 pds to 10.5 pds. So would I figure electric smoker cook time based on 11 hours + or - (new weight) or would I figure 13.75 hours + or - (original weight)? Thanks again and happy holidays
Just trimmed my brisket, do I figure time based on original weight or new trimmed weight? I will be putting it in an electric smoker tonight. I watched a half dozen video how to' and trimmed off the hard bad fat to semi separate the flat and point and a few other places and carved about 2-3 pds...
