    Smoking in the rain

Thanks for the replies. 3montes, I like your set up, I just might do something similar, or break out my 8x10 canapoy. I'm using a char-Griller 5050.

    Smoking in the rain

I've got family visiting from out of state over Christmas. I'm planning on smoking a turkey breast and some ham for them. Forecast is calling for rain with temps in the 60's. If I put up a patio umbrella over the smoker, will I have any problems?

Stuffed it with crispy bacon, fresh mushrooms, provolone and velveeta cheeses. I figured that once sliced it...

    1st time ribs

I totally agree. However it seems that the local rib crib in my small but growing city has stepped up their game. Some of their menu selections are pretty good. I'm going to try the ribs again before family comes in town next month. Ribs and Mac & Cheese have been requested.

    Char-Griller water pan

I have a Char-Griller with the offset wood box. After reading Jeffs article on bacon wrapped ribs, I want to try them. In the instructions, he recommends to use a water pan if the smoker is equipped with one. Since my Char-Griller doesn't come with a water pan, Would I place place one under the...

First attempt at skinless chicken breast

Injected the chicken breast with a teriyaki marinade, let it sit in the fridge all day. After pulling them out, I patted them dry, rubbed a little olive oil, gave them a coat of beer can seasoning I had in the cabinet and wrapped in thick cut applewood bacon. Coated the potatoes with the EVOO...

    Questions for smoking chicken breasts.

I'm thinking of trying this also tonight for dinner. If I inject the chicken with a teriyaki marinade, would/could that take the place of brine? I'm also going to try putting some applewood chunks next to the charcoal.
