I wanted to try something different and ran across this recipe online, so I decided to give it a try. These came out awesome and are something a bit different than normal BBQ flavors. You get the sweetness from the pineapple, followed by the kick of the habenero cooked into the sauce.
I typically use red wine as the braising liquid, but on the recommendation of another cook, I went with Dr. Pepper for this one. I don't think it's better or worse than the red wine, just different. It's not as sweet as I expected which is a good thing. Absolutely delicious.

Just finished eating and these were a big hit with the family.
Thighs were marinated for about 6 hours in Zesty Italian dressing and then seasoned with Oakridge BBQ Game Bird Rub. Cooked at 300* and took just over 2 hours.
Then I made some Alabama white sauce and plated them up with some...
This was dinner tonight:
Chicken wings seasoned with greek seasoning and then glazed with a Heinz 57/Honey mix. These lasted about 4 minutes with my family:
Orange Pecan Sweet bread. My wife looked at me funny the first time I made a cake in the grill, now she just looks forward to the...
I am cooking a bunch of spares right now and I didn't trim them down to St. Louis style because of time. I was wondering if anyone has used the trimmings and put them in chili? I know they'd do good in baked beans, but looking to do something a little different in some chili.

The rub:
3TBS of Dark Brown Sugar
1TBS of Chili Powder
1TBS of Cumin

I began smoking a couple years ago when I bought a cheaper propane smoker and have used that time to perfect a lot of recipes. My co-workers benefit from...
Being transplanted into Southeast NC about 10 years ago, both my boys and I have been in love with Carolina pulled pork for years, so after buying my smoker 3 weeks ago and successfully smoking 2 of the best racks of ribs I've ever had, 2 chickens, 2 pork loins and a batch of smoked salmon, I...
I've been lurking here for a few weeks, studying and learning because I bought a cheap propane smoker after wanting to get into smoking for a few years. I didn't really know how much I would enjoy it or how good I would be at it, so I didn't want to invest too !much at first.
After following...
