Almost bought a Lang 84 today,
I went to check it out, had $2050 cash ready to get this older 84 deluxe, but the baffle had so much rust on top and bottom of it that I felt I would need to cut it out and replace it, offered the guy $150 less to pay for my steel, and he flipped out on me...

Went to my brothers today and he filled my truck with large 16 inch long by 12 to 16" diameter logs from his wood lot. I took these strange hardwood logs home and convinced my lovely wife to split them! Notice the pics!
Anyone identify them? MY Brother says that the clue is that my lovely...
Anyone seen or know anything about Ben lang's new smoker design? He calls it 3rd generation. Here is the website---- http://www.pigroast.com/
Looks like he is avoiding having to buy tank heads for his rolled tanks and welding flat ends, but there are other changes too!!!
Anyone out there...
Here is some Q-views, I wish my presentations were better for you but I was caught up in the serving process instead of the pics!!
We were having a re-union yesterday for family from out of state and I did up 25 pounnds(3) of center cut briskets and like 13 pounds of Spare Ribs. I trimmed the...
Any Ideas guys?
Here is the deal. I usually do ABT's the wimpy way for my re-unions and family get togethers. What I mean is, I substitute the jalepenos with Mini Sweet Peppers that Sam's Club has always sold. These pepper are the same size as jalepenos, and they are just awesome for...
Been out to a summer camp for the past 4 weeks, I miss this place!
I have been cooking with the mini 3 to 4 days a week up there---Used 1 piece of Maple, 1/4 bag of royal oak, and a small bag of hickory chunks from lowes all in 4 weeks :-)

Building a reverse flow, miniature smoker/grill. This is either a 4 burger, 2 Fatty, 4 thigh, one big steak, or a 1 meatloaf Smoker/Grill, etc, etc.
The fire box 1/4 inch steel and is 6" * 6" * 8" and the tank is 3/16" steel--6.75" by 18.5"L. This baby is smaller than small. I have about 4...

Ok, Here we go again---
I have a chance to get some tanks with no holes, no paint, that are 16" in diameter, 38" long. I am thinking about fabricating 14"W * 16" L square fireboxes into them and creating a reverse flow semi-lightweight smoker, I calculate 275 pounds total. This would be a...
