    Thanks Barry. I hadn't thought of these type crates. I was referring more to the one they sell specially for the mason jars. They are a bit spendy. I have a few of both these style and will try them out.

    My 17yo son was recently diagnosed type 1 Diabetic. What are you doing for the diabetic in your life? Do you completely revise your recipe's to reduce sugars or keep smoking as usual and have them enjoy in moderation?

    I was using the gel from amazen, it came with the tube. It is out and I am looking for a replacement. I'll try the torch alone and see how it goes. thanks everyone.

    Are they all the same? The little bottle that I got from Amazen is spendy compared to whats available locally. Just not sure if they are same to use around food.

    Was going to smoke a meatloaf for New Years Eve, now thinking my 1st fatty instead. Do I need special cheese for it or will any cheese work? Also thinking of 50/50 mix of beef and pork. Will that cause an issue?

    I just bought Jeffs recipes yesterday. The recipe for Apricot glazed chicken prompted this post. No granulated garlic or onion in this town. I used powder instead.
