I will cook it on site. This will be my fourth year of doing it. The men love to pop chairs up close to where the cooking is going on and shoot the bull all night. I will start cooking the butts Friday night and that will be lunch on Saturday for us. Nothing like trying to sleep while the smoke...
I’m putting on a Men’s Campout for the men at our church and their sons this weekend. I will be cooking 6 butts, 50 pounds of leg quarters, about 40 burgers, and about 50 hotdogs over the weekend.

I bet that was delicious. I had never had chicken and waffles until 2 years ago, my son was in the NICU and we were staying at the Ronald McDonald House. A volunteer brought chicken and waffles for supper one night for the people staying at the RMH. I loved it.

It is finally time for some college football, so I am planning on doing a variety of finger foods. Will probably include some chicken lollipops and some ABTs.
It’s on the small side to me. However the last one I did was also 6 pounds. It turned out great and didn’t take as long to cook. I still prefer the 9 pound range just for the quantity but the smaller one was just as good.

Thursday afternoon I got this spur of the moment idea to invite my father in law for a steak supper. This was so last minute that I had to thaw them out in the microwave.
I put them in the smoker at 325 degrees.
I set the thermometer for medium.

That is a possibility. He would get the chicken from me on Wednesday but it wouldn’t be served until Friday. I guess it would still be ok in the refrigerator that time.
