Nothing fancy blazen, smoked, grilled legs

Well I love hot and spicy but wings always leave me wanting more meat with my hot and spicy. Tried thighs, but they are a bit too meaty to get good spice in so we started doing legs. I recently got a weber performer so I thought what the heck.  Started off high heat searing the outsides. Then...

    Hot fast brisket fail!

I have my doubts too Jerry. This is the first brisket I have ever had an issue with. With dozens under my belt thought I would try something different. Maybee the old way was the best.

    Hot fast brisket fail!

Been playing with other ways of cooking brisket. Trying to find a better end product than I am currently. Well I have a weber performer kettle. I thought I would try one in it. Did all the usual prep and trimmed it a bit closer. I injected this one as an experiment. On the weber running 300-350...

    Moldy Deer... =(

Two red flags in my opinion, stored in trash bags. Trash bags of variing types are treated with powders so they dont stick, scents so they dont smell and in at least one brand anti bactrial substance none I am sure were made to be on your food. Refrigerated for a week also concerns me, While I...

Any pix of a chili roaster/blancher?

Helps quite a bit, I think I am going to cut the ends out of a 20 lb propane cylinder and use that for the ends, I dont need a mass production unit.

    Side dressing tomatoes with compost?

Other than a bout with blossom end rot that wiped out the first batch of tomatoes we have a winner. Turned out my blossom end rot issue was lack of water to the roots. Took care of that and we are seeing second round starting to be down now!

What to make with anaheim peppers?

Thanks for the replies. How long will these hold after picking. Getting stupid busy this week. I like the idea of smoking, dry, grind. We have been eating chili relents for weeks. What is it that they make with them in new mex where you see the roasters on the side of the road roasting hundreds...

What to make with anaheim peppers?

I am overwhelmed with peppers at the moment. Don't have enough time to stuff them all and smoke. We are going to start roasting them and putting in the freezer but I need to come up with something to use these anaheim peppers and a huge mass of japelenos coming on fast. I am planning on making a...
