Is it me or is everyone having problems with the links that are pasted in the replys? I get the 404 Not Found to all links referencing anything to other posts here in the forum

If you have Windows XP download the image resizer powertoy. Right click on the pic and select small med or large and it will automatically resize and give you the file size.

I have a camp chef 16 and when i fired it up today, I am gettin black soot all over. the flame was all yellow. Camp Chef adv that I put the chip tray on top of the burner to lower the temps. i have done other smokes but this time my chick is all sooty.

sorry for the delay...........Very busy with day and small biz after hours. I talked to camp chef and they told me to put the cast iron wood chip plate right down on the opening for the burner. It helped for awhile till later into the smoke.

I got my Camp Chef Smoke Vault 18 put together. When I turned it on to season it I sprayed the inside with Pam put a wet hickory chunk in the chip pan and filled the water tray.
On the low setting it will only come down to 250 and there is much too orange tips on the flames I believe. The only...
Since this is my first smoker I got the 18 inch. I can see that maybe I should have gone for the 24 in but this one will work fine for me now.

I'm from Sacto myself. I just joined this forum today and have learned tons. We just love tri tip. I put a rub on em and slow cook on my grill at 225.
My smoker is supposed to be delivered today and I cant wait to get smokin this weekend.
