    Brinkman Smoke'N Grill

The old ECB bullet was my first smoker and I still cook with it. It's a great little smoker to learn the basics with and it turns out very good bbq. But I would suggest to do the modifications, especially moving the legs to the outside so you can have access to the fire-pan. You're also gonna...

    7.5LB. Pork Butt

RIP........Dude, the color on that butt is amazing. I love Tony C's creole seasoning. I think I'll rub my next one with just that. I've mixed it in other rubs but have never used it alone. Awesome looking Sunday dinner man. Steve

    Charcoal preference

Give 'em hell Deb.....I would have LOVED to have seen the expression on that punks face as you were getting in his face . I'm getting low on my Rancher supply....only 3 bags left. I hope they get more soon. Has anyone heard if more supply will be coming? Even at the "regular" price of $4.99...

    Converting to propane?

I've got a used Afterburner I'll sell ya cheap. I haven't use it in months. Just kidding. I caught the propane bug a few months ago and bought one for my CG. After using it awhile I went back to charcoal. For convenience it's great, just set-it and forget-it, but I like playing with fire :) Steve

    Successful Turkey Smoke

Funny thing is Green Bay is probably my 2nd favorite team. I sure will hate to see Brett Favre lose next weekend against my 'boys......either way 10-2 aint the end of the world for either team. Steve

    Help! First timer!!

I wouldn't worry so much about temperature fluctuations. I think if you average between 200-250 for the entire smoke you should have no problems. I have a CG also and when I first fire her up my temps might get as high as 260-270 but then slowly decrease over the next 3-4 hours. When it drops to...

I smoked my first turkey this morning and it was a success thanks to all the great information I learned here in the Forums. Thanks ya'll, and the wife says thanks too. I cooked it between 300-350 and it only took about 3 hours to reach 170 in the breast. Here are a few pics. I hope everyone had...

    Store bought rubs

I've used KC Masterpiece quite a bit on my butts and I really like the taste of the bark, so I like it. I've also tried the Weber products and they seem to be pretty good too. Steve

so what is everyone doing Thanksgiving?

It will be just me and the wife and I'm doing all the cooking. I'll be smoking a 14 lb bird with pecan wood indirectly on my CG. I'll also make some ABT's for appetizers while we're waiting on dinner. I'm cooking cornbread dressing using my wife's Grandmother's recipe (I'm wondering if a bit of...

CHAR-GRILLER Smokin Pro - product reveiw

I've had mine for about a year now and it gets better every time I use it. I did the chimney mod and made a charcoal basket and smoking has been a breeze. Temps are easy to maintain and I get 4-5 hours out of a basket of charcoal. I do alot of grilling during the week using the main chamber and...

Has anyone ever used Ranger Carcoal?

I've got 12 bags of it in my storage building. I love the stuff and for $2.99 for 20lbs you can't beat it. I think it is as good if not better than Kingsford. I like prefer briquettes to lump so I get the best of both worlds here. Steve
