For our 12th anniversary, grilled a couple of steaks. Used salt and pepper only on steak and before I drop the coals, I dropped mesquite wood chips down first. Added a nice taste to the steak. Potato salad (ok, bought at grocery store as not enough time). Blue cheese on top of course. It's...
Made up beef burgers with mustard, garlic, onion and tarragon seasoning. Grilled up some tater tots. As I needed bigger surface area I putc double the charcoal in the grill. Everything cooked up quickly putting a nice char (flame broiled) on the burgers. While got fire going, may as well toast...
Cooked the ground meat and veggies in a cast iron pan on the grill. Put the meat into a tortilla with lots of cheese, folded and put them on the grill for a minute. Almost had epic fail as folded quesadilla thinner than the space between the grill Whew!
Seasoned up the ribs and put in smoker at 240F for 4 hours. Used Maple Wood chips.
Done and tasty. Finished temp was about 170F. THe ribs could have been more tender but still very tasty.

Three weeks ago, it was too windy.
Two weeks ago, I discovered mold.
Got that cleared up and so IT'S BURGER TIME
Beef burger seasoned with chives, tarragon and mustard and served with grilled steak fries.
I pulled the cover off last night of my charcoal offset to see white patches on inside of grill.
I've seen several different solutions - fire it up hot (I have charcoal not gas), use a bleach solution, use all white vinegar, use white vinegar/water solution.
Suggestions?
THis was 2nd no-go...
I also had the door open too long loading racks and water pans in AFTER I started. Dummy me. WE had turkey dinner tonight and it was quite tasty. Did a pasa salad instead of all the other trimmings. Too busy this time of year.
Put a 4 1/4 lb turkey breast in the MES for 3 hours at 240. After 2 hours, temp had only gotten up to 115F. After another hr, cranked temp up and then had to pull the turkey breast as it was only at 145F. Put in oven at 350 and took another hour.
We had scrambled eggs with some serrano ham on...
