I was thinking just turkey but I thought they be real dry with the 93/7 mix. I'll see how they turn out. If they suck I'm only out a few bucks for the meat. I fried up what was left in the stuffer and it tasted pretty good.
We'll know by tomorrow what the verdict will be lol!
The plan was somewhat modified. Instead of 2# of turkey I only used just over a pound because the other pack was still frozen...
So...
A pound+ of 93/7 ground turkey
A little less than a pound of ground pork
2.1#'s total weight
2.5T - HighMountain sweet-n-spicy flavor pack (these always...
You're reading my mind. We just got a Ninja airfryer. It's actually still in the box. This might a good recipe to break it in. I really like Indian food.
I searched for ideas/recipes for using turkey to make snack sticks but didn't find too much info that jives with what I'm planning.
Tomorrow I'm thinking of making about 3# of sticks using 2# of 93/7 turkey and 1# of ground pork.
Anyone make something like this before? Not sure of the...
I've never been a big cider fan. Not because I don't like it, but because I just never seem to buy it.
Now if I were to happen to make my own, I might be more inclined to enjoy some.
This looks really interesting. I'm always looking for something new to spend time and money on ;)
I might have to dig out my home-brewing stuff and try a batch.
Sounds like some excellent selections. I never got around to drinking anything more interesting than Troegs Hop Knife... Between running around all day, then making a big dinner, I was beat. Had about 3 cans while I was cooking, sat on the couch and fell asleep until about 11:50. Getting old...
Anyone have any interesting recipes using leftover king crab? I usually make sure there aren't any leftovers but tonight I hit a wall trying to finish up the meal.
I probably have about 1/2 pound or so of meat I cleaned from the legs and packed up in the fridge.
I was thinking fettuccine...
A little late... Poor ND... Hard getting beat like an old plow horse...
Here's one of the butts pulled for tomorrow for my better half for work... The other is pretty much gone... Kudos to Chef JJ and that finishing sauce... Everyone asked what was "different" about the pork. I just...
Anyone have anything interesting they're planning to crack open to ring in 2019?
I have a bottle of Founder's Canadian Breakfast Stout (2017) that I've been cellaring for almost 2 years. I'm planning on opening that and probably a bottle or 2 of Dogfish 120 minute I've had in the beer fridge...
That's for sure! Nothing on TV is as it seems. But I've even seen guys at BBQ competitions that claim to cook in those times frames. I can't figure it out, maybe I'm cooking bigger pieces of meat?
185° at 11:30... I'm glad I left myself a 3 hour cushion on these. Looks like I'll need all of it.
Still baffled how cooks on BBQ Pitmasters cook butts in 5-6 hours at supposedly 225-250°? I think their thermometer needs to be calibrated...
Checked them at 6am, temp @ 161°. Bumped the heat up to 275°. Hopefully done around 10-11am so I can throw them in a cooler for a bit before I take them to the football party.
