    Lets See Your Garden

I've been seeing a lot of specialty (e.g. Farmers' Markets) jellies with peppers...I like them all. Figure it's only a matter of time until the supermarket brands (Smuckers, Great Value, etc) brings something out. Some of us are too lazy to make our own. Walmart had a mango habanero ice...

For you old muscle car nuts.

Any Miata lovers here? Not much muscle, but a lot of fun, especially in the twisties and around corners. Sometimes it's not how fast you're going, but how fast it feels like you're going.

    U-Bolt mod for the AMNTS

I'm not sure of this. So which end is best to light, the higher end or the lower end? Do you want these to burn down like a candle? Or burn up like a bonfire? Is everyone (who tilt their tubes) treating these like a candle and lighting the raised end?

Pellets catching on fire in small smoke house

I suspect that powerful heat source doesn't spend a lot of time "on" once it gets to temp. So like all are saying, when it comes on it just gets too hot for the pellets. But the cast iron trick works. You might need to limit the air on top, however. When I use one with a half-inch layer of...

    Men's Church BBQ Burgers results!

What did you do for spices/sauce? Mix anything into the meat before pressing patties? Or just salt/pepper on the griddle?

    Lets See Your Garden

I see jalapenos! Is that in your recipe too? If so, how finely chopped and how many per jar or batch? I love peppers in my jams but my wife, not so much.

    Improving Flavor of Gas Burgers?

How long at 120F ? Yes, seems "not easy" but a lot of work on the smoker, but I could see burgers for lunch and a pork butt for dinner...then the burgers are getting the smoke for free.

    Outdoor Recliner

And I could see extending that out in front in recliner-like fashion. You just need strong enough arms to get in and out. And you could make it out of Trex boards and have it maintenance free for many years.

I'm not sure what to think about this.

Thin-Sliced bologna on a grill. Now why didn't I think of that? I could see adding some eggs as well.

Anyone hungry for Biscuits and Sausage Gravy?

Looks fantastic! Only 6 tablespoons of flour, eh? And just milk, not cream. I could eat that over simple toast and make things real easy. But I'm with you: it needs lots of black pepper!

Smokehouse Way - Aka the new home of the X-Fire Gill and Copper Pot

The side boards look really nice. Yeah, no substitute for shade from the sun. And with electrical power, you could add a ceiling fan. Updraft protection could help exhaust heat out the upper open sides.

Low Country Boil Meatloaf and Loaded Potato Salad.

The seafood isn't speaking to me but the corn sure is! Why didn't I think of that before for meatloaf? A little localized sweetness and texture is just what I need.

    LCB Sausages

Another genius creation kC! I don't have the bandwidth to follow it to the letter but the way you prepared the buns is right up my alley. I'm putting some Kirtland franks into those tonight. Keep the creative posts coming!!

    My new grilling station!

Very nice Steve. Your writeup sounds like you might have built it from a kit? If so, where did you find it? OR was it all modular and you created the layout and exact parts?

    Last Call for Schlitz Beer

All the name-brand beers sell at modest profit margins. It's the craft beers that make the big bucks. Announcing Schlitz is going away makes it rare and a special commodity while they sell out stock and then some at higher-than-normal profits. I'll bet within 5 years the name will be...

    Gas Prices???

An all-electric car is a great commuter car option but I'm not sure I could like them long-term... I was in the market for a new gas mower and California went and put pollution standards on them doubling the entry price to $800 Honda-class. Bought corded electric and loved it at...

    Platform for Camp Chef

Thanks, I get it now. I've seen designs like that before and have intentions of making one for my larger table saw. For my cookers on wheels, I find a couple short lengths of chain work good enough, although inelegantly compared to this. (Nicely done!) Keep a couple short lengths of chain in...

    Platform for Camp Chef

Am I understanding the 3rd caster...do you press on the pedal and that raises the caster so the frame then rests on two fixed legs? If so, details on that would be appreciated.

    Kyle Busch...

My understanding is that he'd been to a medical professional days before and had mentioned the persistent cough. It boggles my mind that this was not diagnosed then. Never take pneumonia lightly. Things can get real serious real quick.
