not sure why would you turn this post in to A_MAZ_E advertising but hey, why not... it is probably good product...
Anyhow... one of the common mistakes folks make is smoking at higher temp (20 deg C) @ low humidity.... what happens to meat?
Hight temp + smoke dehydrate surface of the meat and...
I can't take credit for that!That was chopsaw's idea.

Pellets just ground up with a cheapo coffee bean grinder, not quite dust but more of a "crushed" consistency.Depending on what brand/flavor pellet I get between...
Get a 3"x24" $3.00 aluminum snap together vent pipe that's between my mailbox mod and Mes. Keep it level and slide the Amnts in it. I cut two metal rods with a bolt cutter that went through the middle holes in the Amnts just under 3" to suspend the Amnts in the vent pipe. The end stuck out of...
Interesting...
So the Smoke Hollow Smoketronix had it's own element for the chips and what was called a "Fast Smoke" mode. This heats right under the chips and gets them going very quick - I use this when I refresh the chips, or when I start the smoker. It never really impacts the overall...
I was gonna use a starter cube on one end and, yes, I was going to have it stand on end. Perhaps I won't need to have it stand on end if I fill hallway, plop a few smaller chunks of starter cube in, and fill the rest in.
Time will tell...
Thanks for the reply!
I have 3 tubes from Amzn . 2 12's and a 6 . I get long burn times out of mine , up to 8 hours with the 12 and 5 with the six , using a mailbox .
If you get a tube , use this mod by normanaj . Made a huge difference for me .

...I'm a big fan of the tube w/u-bolt mod and crushed pellets. It can be put in the bottom left under the water pan:

...Too much smoke from a lot of burning pellets in big tubes is bad. You want Thin Blue Smoke. The small hot burning volume of pellets in the AMNTS is far better for your foods taste. Todd runs specials and contests all the time. He has likely GIVEN AWAY more Tubes than some Copycats have sold...
You can make coarse dust from pellets and use that in the A-maze-N tube. It will get you 8~9 hours of clean thin blue smoke if you pack it in real tight.

Masterbuilt propane cabinet smoker, I get the amnts lit for 10 minutes as instructions state. Blow out flame and lay in the smoker. At this point, the smoke is bellowing. I then close the door and when I come back to check on it, it's barely smoking.
I open door for a bit and within a few...
...to smoke with. Traditionally I have used mesquite/ hickory with my smokes. During the last year with my new electric fridge smoker and 2 oval AMNTS and an AMNPS I have tried corn cob pellets, Lumber Jack pellets (mesquite, hickory, pecan, maple) and I tried Traeger cherry.
Both the Pecan...
I'm starting to lean that way myself.I've had the $69 MES30 for a year and still have another year on the Wallyworld warranty and am really wanting to the PID thing.Once the warranty is up it will be time but until then I'm doing pretty good with the crushed pellets and AMNTS u-bolt mod.
Pack the tube tight as you can get it with Dave's coarse pellet dust and the AMNTS Oval will produce beautiful TBS for about 8 hours.....

Like the title says just bought a 6" amnts tube and smoked my 1st bacon in it for 2hrs in the big chief without heat from the burner.
Did forget to form pellicle overnight but smoked it anyway as due to rain the last few days wasn't able to smoke until after 13 days dry cure.
Love the pellet...
...with a little wood dust an blows the smoke through a tube to a covered dessert to add a light flavor and aroma.
It may also be the A-MAZE-N AMNTS Pellet Smoke Generating Tube. A steel tube filled with wood pellets that you light. It generates smoke for various lengths of time. You light the...
...were designed to burn pellets with a certain BTU's per pound. This is why you see a lot of oak blended into the pellets. Oak is a dense wood with a high BTU rating.
Pellet smokers do not run very well on most pure flavoring pellets. Best to use those in an AMNPS or AMNTS to get the smoke you...
See, right there is something I wouldn’t have known. Lol. Where would be best to put the tube? Oh believe me, that brisket I did I was wrapping chips at least once every two hours to stick down there to keep that thin smoke. One time grease dripped in a hole and set the little pack on fire and...
Besides getting an AMNPS or AMNTS a dual probe therm is a must have. One probe for smoker temp and one for food temp, the built in probe and temp readout on the MES are notoriously inaccurate.
