Love my pellet grill. To me the best thing about it is being able to get a lot better skin no chicken. I like to do 1hr of low smoke on any poultry with bones and then crank it to 310 until finished. Sometimes I wont even do the low smoke.
Also if you find you want extra smoke flavor, you...

I've got a different pellet pooper. They have their place and time.
Get a pellettube to amp up the smoke flavor.
Looks good
Got a few more weeks before cold smoking down here.
I use a kettle with Norm's (@normanaj) u bolt mod on a pellettube to keep it above horizontal. and away from the product.
Just opened the first packages of cheese smoke last winter. As @Coreymacc they need to mellow. I prefer...
Thanks for the information it's greatly appreciated I figured the smoke flavor would be consistent with pellet smokers..my friend puts charcoal and wood chunks in a cast iron pan and gets it going outside of his grilla mammoth and then puts it on the difuser?I might have to try that but do have...
...maze. I’ve never ran into an issue with wind since it’s sealed pretty well I wouldn’t imagine you will either. If you go the route of a pellettube or tray I would use the chip loader halfway out for better air flow for it assuming since your in an apartment and probably not much room on the...
I personally don't like any charcoal flavor on my smoked meat. A pellet pooper and tube is my hot smoke option. I use my Big Chief with a pellettube only for cold smoke.
I'll tag @JC in GB as I know he has a Stumps gravity and does bacon. Not sure if both.
Step by step for those who have not cooked beef ribs, or want an easy way to do it. There are many ways/methods to cook beef ribs; this is mine.
7:45 PM
Start with a plate of choice beef ribs from 44 Farms. (~4 lbs.for a three bone plate)
Trim the silverskin, and remove the back membrane.

...that has common sense to drive south for the winter
Got the tongue in check. Sorry for the health issues. Not much experience with the less smoking options outside of my after my Big Chief electric that died a few years ago.
I do use the facility gas grills to smoke using a pellettube.
...be mixed in with the charcoal for a better smoke flavor... I see most of the complaints of pellet poopers is not enough smoke flavor so a pellettube is also added to create more smoke flavor... Also I've seen numerous fails with pellet smokers from the pellets drawing moisture and swelling...
I sort of thought that about the MES not really smoking people out of anything, wasn't 100% sure though. I was thinking about making an exhaust tube to direct the smoke away, but the bottom of the patio above me is 13 feet up so I figured that'd be enough for the near constant wind to be able...
Thanks

If you're still there come December plan to attend the So FL Gathering...
Flavor is of the pellet grill variety, but decent results can be had with the addition of a pellettube loaded with a combination of pellets and wood chips. It burns perfectly in the bottom because of air flow. You can also play with chips on top of the heat diffuser (designed for this) but the...
I'm pretty happy with it, but still learning its quirks, as any grill/cooker/smoker. The first cook of Boston butt was not as smoky as I am used to from my stick burners, but I have plans to improve. Even though this is considered one of the smokiest pellet smokers, I may augment with a smoke...
Good morning all.
Older Pit Boss PB700FBW2 "Classic"
A very casual user, set temp and forget. Buddy was saying he got rid of his pellet smoker because of lack of smoke flavor. I've always liked a mild smoke so never looked any deeper than set at 225 and waiting for probe to say 205.
Was...
You will need to create a draft so the smoke doesn't go stale. My pellet pooper, the fan will run when I power it on but no heat til I set the temp and start it. I just run a tube of pellets for 3 - 4 hours with the fan running. I put the cheese on frogmats sitting on the grates. I also rotate...
So the weather was perfect for a cold smoke. High of 37 on Saturday. Got some blocks, cut them in half and on to the wire rack. I was concerned about air flow, so I cleaned out the burn pot and the auger system of any pellets. Kept the pellet bin door open and took the deflector plate out...
I smoked pepperoni, salami and ham sausage yesterday in the Masterbuilt Electric. I was around 0 def F outside. It took a little longer to get it up to temp. I also had hubby build me an external fire box using a baby weber grill with an metal tube out the top vent & secured to the MES. Just...
