Thats a deal! I thought about putting it in the masterbuilt but thankfully Lowes was opening soon. Good tips though thanks! That jealous devil lump was $14 for 8lbs, it better taste good at least!
Hey all,
So it’s my first time smoking a brisket in a WSM I recently picked up. I have done ribs and chicken in it multiple times and it held temps perfectly. Last night I tried using jealous devil lump charcoal for the first time. I started the cook at 10:30 PM. I’m probing the top grate with...

I just wanted to share this juicy brisket with you all. Well the photos at least:)o_O;)
It was a 9.5 lb one I got at Target for 2.99 a lb. Smoking time was about 10hours @ 235. Used pecan wood, I think it took longer because I was opening to spray ribs I was making at the same time. Enjoy!!

I have been messing around with different techniques this is about my 4th brisket on this smoker.
Pecan wood every hour with 3 briquettes of charcoal the first 5 hours
Smoked at 250F the duration of the cook wrapped in butcher paper about 4 hours in.
Looks to have gotten a nice smoke ring...
