Jumping on the KJ bandwagon as well. I just purchased mine this summer and mad that I never did it sooner. I opted for the Big Joe I and the versatility is unmatched in my opinion. They are large, heavy, and can be slow to get to temp (at least the large one is when its cold out. But I wouldn't...
Nozzle clogging can have many root causes from the design of your hot end to material issues. For me, most of my clogs have been from a gap between the bowden tube and the hot end on my old printer. This allows the plastic to expand into this gap creating a plug. I would then have to disassemble...
I did not do tap as it wasn't out there when I built mine. I did switch to the Omron sensor over the spec'd one they had in the BOM from AliExpress. I honestly have had zero issues with my bed leveling. It makes me feel as though tap is over engineering for these machines. But, I can see the use...
Chris I was in your shoes a few years ago myself. I too built my own Voron 2.4 300x300x350. I started out with an Ender 3 and managed to print all my ABS parts on it which was quite the challenge for sure. I ended up putting it in an Ikea Lack enclosure to accomplish my printing.
It was...
I have a couple of boneless turkey breast “roasts” that I had my wife pick up with the intent of making our own lunch meat from. I also have some Harvest Brine dry brine from Naturiffic which has made THE best turkey for the last 2 years hands down…but I digress. What I would like to do is use...
Looks good. A couple of those trucks look like the 3Dsets printed ones I've seen and have contemplated buying myself. I've never pulled the trigger on them though.
Pulledpork is correct. If you don't upgrade you won't get 4K. Also upgrading to 4K gives you unlimited streams as well instead of just the 3 as an added bonus. That comes in handy if you have a full house like mine.
Well I finally got my 2nd batch of belly bacon cured and was able to smoke it this last weekend and test out my 3D printed draft inducer. This thing turned out great. This bacon was not too smokey and had great color and flavor. Was smoked with apple pellets for 8 hours. Thank you everyone for...
I just seen the file and that the handle is printed separately from the rod. Printing cylinders that tall is always a problem for me as well. My best success has been to print them horizontal with support from bed plate only. But then the issue is they are never truly round at that point.
Did you design this yourself? If you did you could put a flat on the top of the handle and print it standing up. If you didn't design it you could possibly use the cut function in your slicer to accomplish the same thing and put a flat on the top of the handle and print it vertically.
This...
Well it appears to be working. I have a steady flow of smoke out. I took a video but it doesn’t look like I can post a video. I think I’ll test again to be sure tomorrow if it’s less windy. But it appears to be working as designed.
